Opening PUB Night

The Pages UnBound Festival launches with a celebration of contemporary cultural production. We will be serving up food, drink and live music by Alec Dempster. Following the launch party, guests are invited to attend Dreams and Narratives with Guy Maddin and Robert Enright (8:30 pm, the Randolph Theatre).

Well-known for his prints illustrating diverse aspects of Mexican popular culture, Alec Dempster is also a musician and author. Born in Mexico and raised in Toronto, he spent 1999 to 2009 in Veracruz documenting and learning son jarocho. His books include Lotería Jarocha and the forthcoming Lotería Huasteca.
