Event: Transcending Print: Online Literature, Cell Phone Novels and Transmedia Culture

Bio: Jack Jamieson is a PhD student at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Information. His research examines how emerging communication technologies affect and are affected by cultural and social activities. He recently concluded a study of the emergence of cell phone novels in Japan, and is currently studying the role of social and political values in web development technologies, web developers working in journalism, and data sonification.
